Despite its tranquil location, the exhibition grounds are only 400 meters from Heilbronn’s main train station, which makes getting there considerably easier. Typical of the Heilbronn exhibitions, which take place throughout the year, is a broad range of topics covering areas such as business, education, careers, hobbies, leisure, home and garden, health and wellness. There is something for every taste. It is worth keeping your eyes open and following the Heilbronn trade fair calendar closely.
Messe Heilbronn – Exhibitions with a Strong Local Focus
Unlike considerably better-known exhibitions such as the trade fairs in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, and Hanover, the Heilbronn trade fair has a distinctly regional focus. The largest organizer, M. A. X. GmbH – Events und mehr, does plan to internationalize further. However, this ambition is hampered by the limited exhibition space, as the Theresienwiese in Heilbronn is restricted to less than 30,000 m2.
The clear local focus of the Heilbronn trade fair need not be a disadvantage, however, as local color has its charms – especially since, in this case, it goes hand in hand with a colorful supporting program of concerts, shows, entertainment acts, interactive hands-on activities, and children’s entertainment. At the Unterlandschau, as the Heilbronn trade fair used to be called, the local economy takes center stage, presenting its products, services, and innovations to visitors.
It is a trade fair for the Heilbronn-Franken region that draws its advantage from its geographical location and offers ideal conditions for wide-ranging networking. After all, the major cities of Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Heidelberg are all almost equally close at just 50 to 70 km each, making Heilbronn an attractive commercial hub.
The Heilbronn Trade Fair in Figures
The strong regional focus of the Heilbronn trade fair is also reflected in the facts and figures. Gigantic scale is therefore not the yardstick by which visitors should judge the value of the exhibition on the banks of the Neckar Canal.

The Exhibition Grounds
The centerpiece of the Heilbronn trade fair is the modern event center INTERSPORT redblue Heilbronn, which, with a total area of 8,000 m2, is the most important event venue in the Heilbronn-Franken region. The building is characterized by a flexible room layout in order to provide a fitting setting for larger events as well. A sports bar, a gallery, and a restaurant with catering service contribute to the feel-good ambience.
Since the almost 30,000 m2 Theresienwiese is used for events of all kinds, most of the exhibition halls are mobile marquees that are set up for the respective event. The Neckar Canal, numerous forests, and fields create a beautiful atmosphere around the Theresienwiese. As the banks of the Neckar Canal are a popular destination for outings, there are many restaurants and snack bars in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition grounds. The landmark of the trade fair is the stone Theresienturm, built in 1940, which served as a bunker and air defense tower during the Second World War.
With the roughly 800 m2 Klimawäldchen a green oasis of well-being was created on the Theresienwiese, with many, in some cases exotic, trees, shrubs, and perennials as well as Douglas fir wooden decks for lingering. 13 misting columns water the plants and have a cooling effect on visitors. The Klimawäldchen is another attraction on the exhibition grounds and underscores the sustainability-oriented ambitions of the Heilbronn exhibitions.

Getting to the Trade Fair
The Heilbronn trade fair is conveniently located for transport: at a distance of just 400 meters from the main train station, the exhibition grounds are easy to reach. Out-of-town visitors can walk to the exhibition grounds from the main train station or take the bus to the Theresienwiese or Karlsruher Straße stops. Typical access roads are the B 27, B 293, and B 39, while the exits of the A6 and A81 are located nearby. In the north of the exhibition grounds, 1,000 parking spaces are available to visitors, and at the event center INTERSPORT redblue Heilbronn a further 1,200 parking spaces.
